Principal's Message

Welcome To Wolf Lake Elementary School!

Caroll Grimando

Hello to all of our Pups and Parents! Thank you for visiting our website; hopefully, you will find it full of useful information and visit often to stay abreast of school happenings. We hope you bookmark our site for easy reference.

At Wolf Lake, we are proud of our Pups and all of their accomplishments. Our school continues to make great strides with academic achievement.  This year, we are once again proud to be ranked as an “A” school by the Florida Department of Education.  We appreciate the hard work of our students and staff and the wonderful support of our parents and community.

If you are currently a parent of a Wolf Lake student, we ask for your continued support of our efforts with your child. Checking homework, signing the student agenda, monitoring their grades and reading with your child each day will help him/her reach their full academic potential. Our parents make the difference, both in and out of school.  Also, many thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers, making great contributions to our school by working through our ADDitions Program. Their commitment is the reason we have earned the Golden School Award every year since we opened in 2006!

If you are considering having your children attend Wolf Lake, we welcome you to tour our website to become more familiar with our school. Additionally, you are also welcome to plan a visit to our school. The administration schedules school tours throughout the year for families moving into our attendance zone and considering enrollment. We think you will be very impressed with what our school has to offer your family!

What sets our school apart?  So many things… including the talented and hard-working staff members who work endless hours (many nights, weekends and throughout the summer) to continue their own professional development and create amazing learning “experiences” for their students.   From using technology in the classroom to enhance learning, to creating “room transformations” around themes that makes learning a fun adventure, our teachers are simply the best!  Another unique feature of our school is our “House” system.  Students and teachers “spin the house wheel” and land in one of six houses.  They are:  Onore-The House of Integrity, Tapang- The House of Courage, Uongozi-The House of Leadership, Zanmitay- The House of Friendship, Yili-The House of Perseverance and Imagina-The House of Creativity.  Throughout the year, our students represent their House with pride and participate in quarterly House meetings with their House family members.  Students try to earn points for their House by demonstrating positive character traits and the top earning House earns bragging rights and the “House of the Year” status.

Although our students and staff represent six “Houses”, we still consider Wolf Lake one “Home” and one large school family.  We work hard to reach out to our family members in need. We have a food pantry that is restocked several times a year. This pantry is always open to our families who are struggling. Additionally, our school has established the WLE Foundation, which provides financial assistance in times of crisis to our WLE families. We thank everyone for supporting our special events that generate funds for our Foundation. As a result of our wonderful community involvement, our school has earned the 5 Star School Award for the 12th consecutive year!

On behalf of our dedicated and high-performing team, I want to say thank you to our students, parents and the community for your support of Wolf Lake, where we are shaping tomorrow’s leaders, today!

Ms. Caroll Grimando
Wolf Lake Elementary Principal
